Food & Snacks 

Breakfast Buddies / After School Club / Holiday Club

A selection of healthy breakfast food is offered to children each morning before school.

Food offered includes unsweetened cereal, toast, fresh fruit with milk, fruit juice or water to drink.

(Breakfast is served until approx 8.15am).

 

We offer a variety of snacks throughout the school week.

Refreshments are provided at 3.30pm during term time.  In addition for the holiday club, refreshments are served at 10am and 4pm.

 

Food offered includes

Cheese and crackers

Poppadums and dips

Milkshake and fresh fruit

Sandwiches with salad selection

Iced biscuits/bun

Pitta bread with salad/raw vegetables

Meringues with fruit.

Milk and water is available to drink at snack time.

 

During our holiday playschemes we offer a limited amount of fruit squash at snack time only.  

 

Children attending Holiday club will require a packed lunch if booked into the morning or all day session and 2 fruit snacks for during the day. 

 

Lunchtime is 12 noon.

 

We promote healthy eating at Kids Club and would appreciate no fizzy drinks or sweets in lunch boxes.

 

Please also ensure your child does not bring any foods containing NUTS.

 

Please ensure your child brings a named water bottle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

New EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation (No. 1169/2011)

 

Food Allergies – New allergen information rules have recently been passed which affects all food and drink prepared within the Setting. 

 

Early Years Settings have to comply with the EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation (No. 1169/2011).  The Setting now has a legal responsibility to provide accurate allergen information to parents/carers, children and staff for every food and drink item provided that contains any of the 14 allergens as ingredients.
