Out of School Club Co-ordinator Vacancy

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, creative and FUN individual to coordinate our Key Stage two (years 3 – 6) room in our After School Club.

You will be an individual that inspires leads, motivates and takes pride in their role on a day-to-day basis. You must be committed, organised and flexible, and have excellent customer facing skills and leadership skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the legal and curriculum requirements are met in line with our policies and procedures.

You should be hardworking, creative, reliable, enthusiastic, fun and passionate about working with children. You must have a thorough understanding of the importance of keeping children safe.

You must be able to provide quality play and care within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures. Help the manager and deputy to lead a team of staff creating a happy environment for the children each day providing a safe place for the children.

The position is part time, 5 days per week, Monday – Friday, 2.45pm-6pm on a term time contract, although hours during holiday club can be offered.

Main duties:

· Providing comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering them safely to parents/carers.

· Planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment offering a range of activities to stimulate and support children’s intellectual, physical, social and emotional development.

· Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.

· Providing an inclusive and welcoming environment that incorporates the children’s ages, interests and abilities.

· Providing nutritious and healthy refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.

· To help to set up for the daily programme, to help tidy away at the end of the session, oversee that staff are undertaking duties in line with the daily rotas.

· To work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.

· To work in partnership with all staff members, adhering to the staff code of conduct at all times.

· Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, school and other related agencies.

· To take action to support the setting to achieve and maintain a minimum good Ofsted rating at the next inspection.

· To ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures.

· To attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for personal development.

· To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff, which is acquired as part of the job.

· To be aware of and adhere to all the settings operational policies and procedures, e.g. health and safety, fire precautions, dropping off and collection of children, food safety, cleanliness of the setting.

· To administer any minor first aid as required adhering the first aid policy.

· To be responsible, with other team members, for ensuring that play resources and equipment are properly used, maintained and stored and for reporting any worn or damaged resources.

· To ensure that comprehensive records are kept and updated regularly.

· To promote the setting to current parents and potential customers.
